NOW CLOSED | When it’s cold outside, in the heart of the city, what better way to warm yourself than with a Fiesta. That and Sangria, of course, all the Sangria. We’re back at Tapas Revolution for the brand new opening of the Sangria bar.
With renovation work having just been completed Omar opens up his Newcastle location to welcome a brand new bar area.
Entering from Blackett Street (across from Hippy Green) step inside the heart of Spain. This intimate bar is decorated similarly to the adjoining restaurant and really channels Omar’s Spanish routes.
With live fiesta music and the serious hip-shaking beats at that on Fridays and Saturdays, it’s not one to miss.
5 Simple Reasons To Visit Tapas Revolution Sangria Bar & Lounge
Sangria with a twist
Serving up traditional Sangria and Sangria with a twist, it is obligatory that you check each and every single flavour on the menu. You know, just so you know for next time which is your top choices. Don’t blame me though if you’re Flamenco’ing all the way to the metro!
Tapas Revolution’s bar stays open later than the restaurant and is perfect for catching up with friends or heading out on a date.
Don’t let the Sangria fool you though, they rack up a mean line of cocktails too. From their Pineapple Daiquiris to their Espresso Martinis you’ll feel like you’re in rural Spain and not a city centre bar in cold Newcastle!

Tapas Revolution Newcastle: Estrella Galicia Pairing Evening
Tapas Revolution Newcastle | Winter Tapas Menu
Spain’s #1 export
Sangria and Cocktails, not your thing? Don’t you worry. Omar has the pints covered too with Estrella Galicia. If you read about the restaurant’s launch you’ll know that the evening was an Estrella pairing evening and I can vouch for just how refreshing Spain’s second-best import is…
The first…well the ladies on the evening sure were checking out that, or should I rather say him.
Tapas Revolution is open seven days a week from 10 am until 10 pm (11 pm Fridays and Saturdays) and serves up a mean tapas feast, the paella is to die for and the homemade lemonade, well it is their best selling soft drink.
The bar is open same time as the restaurant and has a great vibe. Make sure you check it out the next time you’re in the city!
