It’s nearly time for the John Lewis advert to sweep the conversations of the nation and the delightful man from the USA named John Lewis directing all the tweets to John Lewis’ retail twitter account. For now though, the Beauty Retreat at John Lewis Newcastle.
Perhaps you didn’t know it existed. I sure didn’t. It’s a curse sometimes, the hustle and bustle of the city shoppers. Eyes down looking at our phones or on a mission to shop with intent. Inside John Lewis is a haven of peace. A little sanctuary where you can relax and escape city life. The Beauty Retreat.
I was invited along to check out the Retreat last week. Heading to the glass-fronted pod set back from the beauty hall the Retreat spans over two floors. With a Blink Brow Bar and Jessica Nails bar on the ground floor and the Clarins treatment rooms on the second floor. Which has elevator access making it wheelchair and pushchair friendly.
Eager for a shoulder and neck massage I climbed onto the massage chair and began my treatment. The trained Clarins staff create a relaxed atmosphere, spritzing their signature scent for a relaxing aroma before relieving your neck and back of tension. With an extensive treatment list, I certainly highly recommend a visit.
Brow game on point
I’m a fan of the Blink brand and use the defining pencil and brow highlighter regularly, with an array of brow defining treatments the lovely ladies can make your brow game the strongest it’s ever been. From shaping to filling them in they can even teach you how to get salon-perfect brows every time.
If you’ve not visited the retreat I highly recommend stopping by to see what beauty treatments and services they have on offer for you. In a city where the pace is fast, take some time out. Go on, you owe it to yourself!
