PizzaStorm Newcastle is conveniently located in Intu Eldon Square. One of the main city centre locations for restaurants. After recently attending the newly opened rival chain Pizza Punks, we jumped at the chance to try out PizzaStorm to see what all of the fuss was about.

PizzaStorm Newcastle Food Experience Review

On arrival, we were welcomed to take a seat at one of the free tables and given a copy and explanation of the menu. PizzaStorm’s menu offers plenty of choice including Signature Pizzas (including Vegetable Supreme and Vegan Hoisin Duck). In addition to our favourite, Create Your Own with unlimited toppings! The pizzas range from a very reasonable £6 with the highest price item on the menu being the Create Your Own at £7.55! Of course, we chose to create our very own ‘storm’.

Simple ordering

The menu was set out simply with all of the options to choose from including sauces, cheese, veg, meat, fish and seasonings. The ordering process is so simple. Head to the counter and walk along with your pizza chef. Choosing your unlimited toppings as you go.

It’s worth noting that PizzaStorm is definitely not stingy when it comes to toppings! You’re given a number and your pizza is delivered straight to your table once out of the oven. If the choice of unlimited toppings isn’t enough. There are several sides available to order and there’s even a serve yourself seasoning. Oil and sauce station as well as the option to add self-serve bottomless soda to your order. Or, alternatively, a selection of beers, ciders and wines.

Opting for a winning concoction of classic tomato sauce, mozzarella, mozzarella balls, garlic. With butternut squash, red onions, chargrilled chicken, meatballs AND spicy beef. As well as a side of Bacon N Mac.

Our pizzas arrived within minutes of ordering and they definitely created a Storm!

I was feeling rather satisfied however there is always room for dessert… Opting to share the Chocolate Cookie Dough and Ice Cream was an excellent decision! Soft cookie dough with gooey chocolately goodness and creamy vanilla ice cream. This was an excellent finale (and priced at only £3.45!!)

Accidentally missing

The only negatives from our visit were the missing ingredients including beef brisket and eggs… we do love an egg cracked in the centre of our pizza (next time PizzaStorm!) The side order of Bacon Mac sadly didn’t contain any bacon and we did feel that it was a poor portion for £3.95 however it was tasty. We will definitely return to PizzaStorm; it offers a novelty and quick city centre pizza dining experience with a great range of fresh ingredients at a very reasonable price.

PizzaStorm Newcastle offers a fresh and enjoyable pizza experience, especially for those who love to customise their own pizzas with unlimited toppings at a very affordable price. The ordering process is simple, the ingredients are fresh, and the speed of service is impressive, making it an excellent choice for a quick meal in the heart of Newcastle.

While there were a few minor hiccups with missing ingredients and portion size on the side dish, the overall experience was positive. With a great selection of pizzas, sides, and even a tempting dessert menu, PizzaStorm is a place we’ll definitely revisit.
