3 Simple Reasons Faux Floral Bouquets Are Interior Essentials

How much do you spend on fresh blooms a year? Statistically, it has been reported that we Brits spend an average of £158 per year on flowers for our home. What a crazy figure right? So what about saving money with faux floral bouquets?

I must agree I’m a sucker for some fresh florals when you walk into a room, saying that it’s only taken me over 10 years to appreciate the beauty of flowers after I associated them with death. Long story. In a nutshell, when my dad passed away when I was only 13, our house was full of flowers and then they all died. I hated flowers for such a long time but now, I embrace their beauty and try to associate happy memories with them.

Flowers really bring a smile to my face now, and I truly embrace their beauty. I’m a sucker for a white bouquet, especially adorned with white roses. They have such a luxurious demeanour about them, don’t you agree?

With real flowers dying from the very second you bring them home, Bridgman has come up with the perfect solution. Faux, real bouquets. What an oxymoron you say? Their new collection of 7 different designs are available online now, to suit all tastes and decors.

Bridgman’s, a family run company featured last year in my Christmas Gift Guide for homeowners, you may recognise the gorgeous vase from one of my favourite ever Hygge inspired Instagram posts. New for 2018 they’ve launched their floral bouquet collection.

Their seven arrangements faux flowers are hand tied by a master florist into gorgeous bouquets for your home. These real-life looking floral collections are extremely life-like, I must admit. They embody the exclusive, prestige collection which runs deep into the heritage of the Bridgman brand.

I was lucky enough to have been gifted the White Serenity bouquet which features a stunning arrangement of crisp white hydrangeas, alongside faux leaves. These are great as they’re made using a material that makes them feel fuzzy and real. With distinctive blueberry accents to create a stunning contrast to attract attention to the bouquet. Finished off with three white roses, one with a gold and yellow bee stitched onto the inside.

These bouquets are a great sophisticated and luxurious gift (Mother’s Day is on the horizon), or just to create an opulent, floral arrangement in your own home.

Therefore the neutral palette of this specific White Serenity bouquet will compliment almost all decors, however, if you’re looking to inject a little colour they do offer deep plums, reds, purples and even orange bouquets.

With bouquets starting from just £89 they’re so affordable, especially if you purchase new flowers weekly.

So you’ve seen how gorgeous the Bridgman Blooms are, now you want to know…

Why faux florals over the real deal?

  • They save you money in the long term. With the average homeowner spending just shy of £160 annually on fresh florals, these bouquets are priced from £89. I do think this price veers towards the higher end price point for the size of the bouquet. For the White Serenity bouquet you receive a 9 stemmed bouquet. However, they are really lifelike. Purchasing a bouquet of faux flowers mean you have no wilt and, of course, they are evergreen. So look beautiful in your home all year round
  • They’re more economical. Think about it, your carbon footprint for faux flowers is going to be less than buying a bouquet weekly. It’s a one time purchase, as opposed to a purchase which involves growing flowers, cutting them down and then replanting new blooms in their place.
  • They can be intertwined with real florals to give a completely different look to your home. A big holiday coming up? Team them with colours to match for that ‘in the now’ look. Add a hint of Red Ponsietta at Christmas, Daffodils on St David’s day. If you’re a fan of Pantone, throw in a couple of Ultra Violet coloured flowers in as a nod to the colour of the year 2018.
  • They require no maintenance. Unlike fresh flowers, faux florals require absolutely no maintenance. You don’t have to worry about watering or feeding these flowers, you also aren’t required to have to have the sadness of throwing them away when you head away on vacation.
