3 Easy Reasons To Book Tickets For The Tenors of Rock

Let’s talk Tenors of Rock. You know by now I grew up on a staple diet of rock music. With Kiss, Poison and Queen being some of the earliest soundtracks to my life I’ve always had a great love for music with a deep drum beat and a solo guitar riff.

You see, my dad was a self-taught guitarist (online lessons like this one on MusicOomph.com didn’t exist back then). He played in a band and he wrote his own songs (more on that at a later date). My mum, she has a love of music too and dares I say it she fancies herself as a bit of a rock star.

Anyways, I may have mentioned once or twice already that at the end of November we headed to Vegas to celebrate my birthday. My Birthday falls on or around Thanksgiving and following that, Black Friday. So Mum and I always head to the USA for birthday shopping.

Vegas Residency

Vegas is like my homeland. Neon runs through my veins and with this being my 5th trip I was hotly anticipating what mischief we could get up to. What things could we do we hadn’t already and of course, what shows could we go see.

We went to three that week. Yes, three. I’m going to write about all three, in turn. I really didn’t know what order to write about them in, should I choose my favourite first? Should I go from three to one? What order? Or did it even matter?

It doesn’t, however, I am going to go in for it with my favourite show that we saw this time first. The Tenors of Rock.

You might recognise their name. They were on just a little programme that’s on a Saturday night, it’s called X Factor. You know, the show that’s produced some seriously hot talent including One Direction, Little Mix and James Arthur to name a few. You may have heard of it?

From the West End to Sin City

The Tenors of Rock are a 5 piece band from the UK, they’re all musically trained singers and have all had roles in the West End. Fan of Les Miserables? Then you’ll already know Jonathan Williams. Something a little more punchy? Scouser Tommy Sherlock stripped off on stage in Hair the Musical. I see you Jimmy, Scot Jimmy Denning, a founding member of Tenors of Rock may be recognised from 10 years in the West End in shows.

With a residency inside Harrah’s on the strip, the 5 piece is not to be missed! Bellowing out classics like ‘Sweet Child o’ Mine’ by Guns n Roses, Eagles classics. Even my childhood favourite, ‘God Gave Rock ’n’ Roll to You’ by Kiss.

Phan-tastic

Paying homage to their journey to the bright lights of Sin City. They, of course, sang a few spectacular versions of the West End classics that got them to headlining their own show in Vegas! Most spectacularly, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera.

There really is something for everybody and you know, with the sound of a guitar riff and some pitch-perfect voices. I defy anybody to go see their show and not love it. It really is sensational. They have the whole crowd entertained from start to finish.

Appearing in the audience, climbing across tables, making use of their stage (and owning it). the Tenors of Rock really is a theatrical performance in itself. Nearing their first year anniversary you could see that all the members of the band were so humbled to be sharing a stage together. After the show, they encouraged all the audience to meet them in the foyer.

What was lovely about this was, it wasn’t a sales pitch to buy a professional photo. It was a genuine love for what they do and wanting to thank everybody who bought tickets for making their dream a reality.
