I’ve been a fan of Feel Supplements (and now the Feel Skin Care range) for as long as I can remember and after recently speaking to a strength and conditioning coach who outlined where I really needed to up my supplement game I decided to check out what was new from Feel.
You may previously remember I’ve spoken about the Feel Multivitamins and Feel Joint Supplements, which I’m a fan of both. The company behind the supplements have now released a Skin Care supplement, which I’ve spent the last month trying out.
4 Ways to Eliminate Oily Skin with Feel Skin Care
The Feel Skin Care formula has been created to specifically tackle the 4 main factors of breakouts and acne in as little as 90 days.
Fortunately, I have relatively good skin, however, it is super important with your skin being the largest organ in your body, for it to be hydrated and looked after as well as possible. So knowing that the Feel Skin Care supplements contain hand-picked ingredients which work on a cellular level to promote healthy skin through reducing oiliness of your skin, building a better skin barrier, helping you maintain normal hormone levels and reducing emotional stress that can lead to breakouts.
Emotional Stress
If you suffer from stress breakouts then this may be a great solution for you, as the supplement reduces emotional stress.
Emotional stress increases our levels of stress hormones, including cortisol in the body, which has been linked to increased risk and severity of acne. Knowing that stress directly affects the skin, causing inflammation, worsening skin barrier function, dermal thinning and poor wound healing. Also, psychological stress has been shown clinically to delay and disrupt wound healing which occurs due to stress hormone production, increased TEWL and reduced skin surface hydration, barrier dysfunction.
Therefore by reducing emotional stress in your body it’ll lower the chances of a breakout and will help to speed up wound healing too.
Reduces oiliness of the skin
If there’s one skin complaint I had prior to taking these supplements, the oil around my nose was a little too much and with excess oil being linked to acne it’s great to see a supplement which reduces sebum (oil) production in through including zinc, green tea extract, L-lysine and astaxanthin.
This benefit in itself is enough for me to continue taking the supplement.
Building barriers
Feel Skin Care has been designed to support skin health at a cellular level. It’s important to understand that our skin cells are constantly regenerating to maintain a healthy skin barrier, to keep dirt and bacteria away, and moisture within our skin.
This Feel Skin Care supplement formula has been shown to provide key nutrients and antioxidants which work as building blocks for healthy skin, including zinc and vitamin A, with vitamin C targeting collagen formation in the skin.
Maintains normal hormone levels
Understanding that some hormones can worsen acne and cause breakouts such as excess of androgens like testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which encourages acne formation by increasing oil production and inflammation, this supplement it has been proven to maintain normal testosterone levels, and pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), which contributes to the normal creation and metabolism of hormones.
This is cleverly achieved through the use of ingredients such as toxin cleaner Burdock Root, stress reducing Ashwagandha and oil drainer Polyphenols.
After taking the supplement for 30 days I noticed that my skin was glowing more so than usual (bearing in mind I follow a great skincare regime nightly to ensure my skin is well looked after), and the oily area around my nose improved drastically and overall I felt like I looked better.
As with all supplements I highly recommend that you speak to a professional to understand what is lacking in your diet, understand where you have deficiencies and incorporate high-quality supplements such as Feel into your daily routine.
