Yesterday we talked designing your own shoes with Made in Me and today we’re talking about making Jewellery with DIWAH, a British handmade jewellery company specialising in semi-precious stones teamed with metals to give off different looks that nobody else will have.
DIWAH kindly gifted me a £75 voucher to select a creation from their site or I was able to design my own. I checked out their collections and was really impressed that they offered something for pretty much everybody. There was a tribal collection, urban designs, I also loved their classic collection as it was very Audrey Hepburn Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Choose from different gemstones and designs.
I then proceeded to go to their design your own section of the website (this only works on laptops & computers, not tablets and smartphones) where I played around for a little while with creating different designs. I enjoyed having a go at making something beautiful but I’m not sure the inner designer in me was destined to design jewellery. Let’s face it I was pretty rubbish and decided to leave it to the experts.
I went back to the drawing board and decided to choose the YEAH necklace which I knew would be pretty versatile from the Urban Collection. It contained Agate, cast elements and fashion elements.
Once I had placed my order I was excited for it to arrive. Within a week or so it landed in my mailbox and I was excited to open it.
The necklace was lovely and could be worn during the day teamed with a vest to stand out or it could be teamed with a black evening dress for that rebel but sophisticated look.
I really love the products that DIWAH has to offer, how there really is something for everybody and especially the fact that they are made extremely well is a massive positive for the brand.
Despite being handmade using semi-precious stones I do find some of the items a little bit pricey for fashion jewellery. I certainly would buy DIWAH jewellery as gifts for friends and family members who have commented on how much they love my necklace, though!
Special thanks to my younger cousin for being my neck model for the afternoon.
