Inflata Nation: Why you need to take kids from 2-99

The Summer holidays are now in full swing and with parents frantically trying to think of activities for when the weather isn’t so good we’ve found an incredible place that will not only keep kids happy but will give you a great work out too. Inflata Nation North Shields is located at the Royal Quays Discount Outlet Centre and opened a couple of months ago.

This inflatable fun park is an impressive 20,000 square feet and is home to different obstacles and sections including ‘The Catapult’ and ‘Death Drop’ slides as well as multi-lane slides. Immerse yourself in multiple ball pools, a Total WipeOut style ball obstacle and even a retro gladiator-style battle arena. There is also a smaller area for under 4s which is not only much calmer, the activities are more suited to smaller babies.

It’s slightly different to a trampoline park and a totally not like a soft play. Inflata Nation is a series of different bouncy castle style attractions meaning that half the fun is falling over too!

The entire concept has been meticulously planned out to ensure that both children and adults can enjoy the adventure.

With two cafes on-site, one is located upstairs and one nestled downstairs amongst the action. They both serve up an assortment of food including sandwiches, drinks and slushes (and alcoholic drinks), crisps, snacks, sweets and more. After all that running around wild and throwing yourself down death slides you’ll have all worked up a little appetite. Sit back and enjoy.

Inflata Nation also provides secure locker facilities for any valuables and even a large seating area to relax on if you’re not wanting to get in on all the madness. So there’s no doubt about it that there’s plenty to keep both parents and children alike happy for a couple of hours. Especially this time of the year when it’s a task to try and think of somewhere to take the kids in the School Holidays.

Safety at Inflata Nation

Upon arriving at Inflata Nation, you are required to sign an incident waiver form, then everybody must watch a 5-minute mandatory safety briefing video before they are allowed to head off and bounce. Top tip: do make sure that you arrive wearing comfy socks that don’t fall off as these must be worn at all times.

Don’t think that Inflata Nation has been created just for the children though! You’ll be surpirsed to know that Inflata Nation offers an adults-only session priced at £9.95 for the hour. So trust me when I say it’s a great work out and you’ll leave feeling exhausted and exceptionally sweaty from all that bouncing! They have thought of everything at Inflata Nation too as they also host Disability-friendly sessions. These are again priced at £9.95 for over 4s and £5.95 for under 4s.
