What’s a trip to Bali without the photos to prove it? Check out these cool spots and capture some amazing pics to spice up your Insta feed!
Gili T Swing
In Gili Trawangan, a good option is to rent a bike and explore the island! It will take you around 20 minutes from the main port to arrive at the perfect sunset spot. Located at the “Exile” beach resort, you can grab a drink and watch the sunset as you take a swing or lay in the hammock that hangs over the shallow water. When the sky turns pink, the reflections in the water creates the background for an Insta-worthy pic!
Tegalalang Rice Terrace
The rice terraces are Bali’s postcard image. These vivid green fields are an invitation for a great photoshoot! Although there are many rice terraces options to visit in Bali, including the famous Jatiluwih rice terrace, at the Tegalalang in Ubud you’ll find not only the traditional fields but swings, a zip line, and even a sky bike! And of course, there are plenty of “nests” to grab a classic Bali picture in.
Git Git Waterfall
They say not to go chasing waterfalls, but this hidden treasure in the middle of the rainforest is definitely worth chasing! Located in Sukasada district in northern Bali, the stunning Gitgit waterfall will take your breath away, but before that, make sure you capture the scenic view so that no one can say it was only a dream!
Devil’s Tears Bay
Located on Nusa Lembongan right next to Dream Beach, this may be just the best sunset spot in all of Bali! Sit and watch the waves crash along the cliffside as the sky changes colours and the sun falls beneath the horizon in front of your eyes.
This dramatic cliffside is known for its resemblance to a T-Rex! The place is a famous Instagram spot and there is usually a tourist crowd looking for the perfect picture with the blue waters underneath! Trek down the narrow spine, but be careful of the sudden drop off on both sides! You can also take the stairs to visit Kelingking Beach below!
In Uluwatu, the “oneeighty” day club is famous for its sky pool! Pose in the outer corner of the glass pool that hangs 162 meters above the ocean! If you’re scared of heights try not to look down through the glass floor below!
Sunsets are amazing but the feeling of waking up early in the morning and watching the sunrise on top of a volcano is something else! Located in West Nusa Tenggara, at a 3,726m, Mount Rinjani is the second-highest volcano in Indonesia and a famous tourist destination. After the long hike, when the first flashes start lighting up the sky the incredible view of the mountains and the crater blue lake is a gift! To eternize the moment, and get a good picture, the panorama setting is a good idea not to miss a single detail of it!
La Plancha Seminyak
This restaurant is another Insta-famous location. Enjoy a beautiful Bali sunset from the comfort of a bean bag under colourful umbrellas and order some drinks and dinner! The beach is not one of the bests in Bali but the sunset picture in the middle of all the colours of the rainbow is a great shot!
Stand between the ‘Gate of Heaven’ with the view of Mt. Lempuyang volcano behind you. Just be aware the queue to snap this awesome shot can be up to 2 hrs long! Arrive early to avoid crowds!
Uluwatu temple is famous for its great location 70 meters above the waves of the Indian Ocean! The place is a sunset-watching spot and you can also enjoy local Kecak dance performances daily! The walkways along the cliffside with flowering bushes make for a perfect backdrop for any selfie! Just make sure a monkey doesn’t sneak up on you when you’re looking at the camera!
