How has another month passed already? I can’t believe it’s been five whole months since we said goodbye to 2016 and waved in 2017.
Anyways this week saw the next instalment of one of our favourite subscription boxes, the Glossybox. This month’s theme ‘Park Life‘ has us desperate for the Sunshine to make an appearance and sees us getting ready for Festival season.
If you’re not already a Glossy you’ll really want to be in on the action. This beautifully wrapped pink box arrives at the beginning of every month jam packed with 5 favourite beauty products. Costing £10 per month (plus p&p) this box always packs a punch and has contents worth over £50 in each month. It is worth noting it does work out cheaper the longer you subscribe.
Enough of the chit chat, you want to know what’s in the box, don’t you? This month included six beauty products instead of the usual five.
Batiste Stylist – the go-to for dry shampoo has just launched their brand new range of XXL volume sprays. This keratin and Inca Inchi infused spray is the ultimate volume boost to give you volume that lasts. Simply spray and work in with your fingers or back comb for serious volume. The Summer fruit smelling full-size spray in Oomph my locks is a serious festival essential.
Next brand up Lypsyl. You may remember last November I headed to the Lypsyl relaunch at Artist’s Residence in London for an afternoon of all things beauty. Having seen the full collection the sun protect UVA and UVB lip balm is ideal for the summer. You can use it on children too. I’m a massive fan of Lypsyl and this SPF50 Stick is enriched with Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter which will not only protect but also hydrate and nourish your lips so you can pull the perfect pout for that all important new profile picture.
After you’ve applied your Lypsyl you’ll want to use another of the box’s goodies to plump up those hydrated lips. Sleek Cosmetics have created a lip plumping pencil which has been designed to plump up your lips with a tingle whilst colouring them with the gorgeous summery shades. The excitement of a beauty box always means you never know what colour you’re going to receive, the Colossal Coral is gorgeous and Summery.
Next up 111Skin Harley Street London, eye lifting serum. If you’ve ever lived Park life you’ll know that it’s all about quick fixes and turning yourself around after minimal sleep. This serum rejuvenates and brightens eyes to help reduce the appearance of bags.
It’s all about the glitter and unicorn sparkle and Manna makes no exception for this with their super sparkly illuminator. This incandescent liquid lights up not only your life but sparkles wherever you leave it. Mix it with foundation or wear as a stand-alone this can be used on your face or body for a shimmering summer glow.
You know I’m obsessed with all things charcoal especially those infamous face masks that are the most painful things in the entire world to remove. They do work removing blackheads and all the rubbish from your pores though. Beauty is pain. Beauty is pain. Remember that!
Finally, a perfect read for heading to your Park of choice this festival season a preview of the short novel Wilde Like Me by Louise Pentland. A story about a single parent who leaves her makeup assistant role to follow her dreams and change her life forever. The preview is pretty tasty and we know you’ll be desperate for the rest of the story which is available 29th June!
If you’re new to Glossybox this month you can also choose an ADDITIONAL beauty bundle which includes two other beauty products from previous boxes. In bundle 1 an It Works In Transit camera close-up. This primer come moisturiser is a godsend for applying before your makeup to make it last longer. Model Co contour stick. This came in April’s Glossybox and I use it daily to define my cheek bones. Simply draw on and then blend in for that chiselled look.
Bundle 2 is last month’s hero product Dr Pawpaw original which can be used as virtually anything from cracked skin to babies bottoms to even taming your brows! Also included is the Radial mascara from April’s box which mine seems to have managed to make its way into my Mum’s makeup bag, she does keep telling me how fabulous it is though.
So not only do you get over £50 worth of goodies in this month’s Glossybox you also can choose an EXTRA two products! You’d be crazy not to order one today!
