Cinnamon Christmas Tree Decorations
I’m going to show you here briefly how to create Cinnamon Christmas Tree Decorations (as seen on TGIF), but do check out the full how-to guide and Festive Light’s hundreds of other crafts here.
You’ll need:
- Cinnamon sticks
- Twine
- Assorted ribbons
- Scissors
Simply cut lengths of ribbon and then tie around your cinnamon stick with equal gap between them (do leave a gap for that extra strong festive scent)
Tie a tight looped piece of twine around the top of the stick, this will be used to hang it on the tree.
Finally, trim your ribbon from the bottom up making sure each row is shorter than the one below to give that Christmas tree triangular shape.
Hang on your tree or gift to a friend or neighbour inside their Seasonal Card.
These decorations are perfect for hanging on artificial trees to give them a great scent.
Hand-Painted Ornaments
Personalize your Christmas tree with hand-painted ornaments. Purchase plain glass or plastic ornaments from a craft store and gather acrylic paints in festive colors. Use a small brush to paint holiday designs, such as snowflakes, Christmas trees, or reindeer, onto the ornaments. Add glitter or small embellishments for extra sparkle. Let the paint dry completely before hanging the ornaments on your tree or gifting them to loved ones.
Festive Mason Jar Centerpieces

Attach the figurines to the inside of the jar lid using waterproof glue. Fill the jar with water, leaving a small space at the top to allow for air. Add a pinch of glitter or fake snow to the water for a magical touch. Carefully screw the lid onto the jar, ensuring it is tightly closed. Turn the jar upside down, and watch as the snow gently falls around the figurines. Display the snow globes on shelves, mantels, or give them as delightful homemade gifts.
