Green Tea is one of my big loves in life. Matcha Green Tea, in particular, is my absolute favourite so when Vivid Matcha set their Think Matcha Challenge I couldn’t resist getting involved.

If you’ve never heard of Matcha you’re missing out. I’m a daily Matcha fan. Read about my Dream Matcha Mornings here. A quick overview for those who don’t know about the Green Power that is Matcha. It is a ceremonial tea which originates from Asia and contains powerful antioxidants. It’s also a great metabolism booster and it helps energy and concentration levels. Now you can see why I am Matcha obsessed as are the likes of Kylie Jenner, Gwyneth Paltrow and the Olsen Twins.

In fact, James Shillcock, the founder of Vivid Drinks says “ A mind with focus and energy can achieve anything. While others obsess with physical health we promote the importance of mental wellbeing, clarity and focus. If you’re an entrepreneur, a creative, or a student in the library, we want you to Think Vivid!”

Back to Vivid Matcha. A revolutionary and relatively new company with the concept of Matcha on the go. So with that knowledge and the challenge set. I was about to embark on my journey.

Arriving in a large case was a month’s supply of the Original Unsweetened Matcha. However, if you’re looking for something with a bit of a twist they offer a range of 5 flavours including unsweetened, lime, ginger & honey, grape & elderflower, pear & rhubarb and powdered Matcha. I have herd on the tea-line that there are new arrivals this Summer too so keep your eyes peeled.

As I racked them up next to our supply of MOA in the fridge I couldn’t help but get excited about this challenge. Each day I was going to take a creative image for the challenge. Here’s a couple of my favourites from the month.

I love the taste of Matcha, others aren’t so keen. If you’re looking for a tea with the benefits in a single cup of 10 cups of regular green tea then it’s worth acquiring a taste for Matcha as the benefits are amazing. It’s also great for a detox and my skin feels clearer when I religiously drink Matcha. My energy levels are through the roof and admittedly since swapping regular green tea for Matcha Green Tea I’ve dropped fat.

Vivid Matcha comes in handy on the go cartons which you can throw in your gym bag or handbag for easy drinking. I enjoyed the change of matcha iced and with only 3cals per carton, this is a perfect addition to your lifestyle. For even the most health conscious of us.

Health Benefits

The antioxidants found in Matcha help with inflammation so is great for accompanying rehabilitation in injuries. Those with degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis and for those who need an extra edge.

As a ceremonial tea the colour is extremely green, the greener the colour the richer the leaves and more powerful overall.  Vivid Drinks have an exception twist and these drinks are a perfect accompaniment for Summer BBQs for those not wanting to drink alcohol.  Why not try this Green Tea Mojito cocktail with your Matcha.
