Apricot Clothing: Falling into Autumn with a Wardrobe Change

As Summer nights quickly become a distant memory and the prospect of golden leaves falling from the trees, hot chocolates by the fire and bonfire night draw closer it’s also a time to fold away the little Summer dresses and shorts and pull out the Autumn prints and heavier materials as the race to Christmas picks up pace, we grabbed some of our favourite styles from Apricot Clothing.

This time of year is one of my favourites. Yes, I like Summer and the holidays, trips to the beach. I love the excuse to head to the pub that it’s great beer garden weather but when it comes down to it, my fair skin isn’t the greatest fan. There’s something more enchanting swapping bikinis for bobble hats.

As I began to pack my Summer clothes away into a very jam-packed wardrobe (I’m working on the house with the walk-in wardrobe!), I exchanged these clothes for my Autumn/Winter clothes but a wardrobe change isn’t complete without a few new pieces.

I headed over to Apricot Clothing and browsed their New Arrivals. There was so much choice and I got myself super excited as I began to add items to my basket. After about half an hour of searching through the pages and styling in my head, I eventually settled upon 5 items and saved a fantastic 15% by signing up to their email list!

My order was placed on a Friday afternoon and by Monday morning the postman had delivered my new goodies.

I ripped open the packaging in excitement and my eyes set down on my new clothes. I know the quality of Apricot Clothing as they’re a staple in my local Debenhams, soI expected the 5 new pieces to be lovely but they weren’t, they were amazing! I honestly don’t think their website does the items that I had selected justice!

I had ordered a top and skirt, a jumper, a checked shirt dress and a checked shirt. All of which felt gorgeous and the material was great quality.

I usually am a pain when I shop online, simply because I’m a weird body shape and 9 times out of 10 everything is sent back but I can honestly say that none of the items I had order need to go back!

My first outfit I opted for was transitional pieces that I wore to The Lakes Distillery for a family meal for my Mum’s birthday at the weekend.

I love the elegant style of a long line skirt which cinches in at the waist to give a taller slimmer look and this teal colour can be worn in the Autumnal months too. I teamed the mesh skirt (£29) with a little camisole on white (£15) and tucked it into my skirt but left a little bagging to give this look a little more of a relaxed look.

It was not only gorgeous but comfortable and coming in at a great price too. There was no need to over accessories and I teamed it with a white clutch bag and a tan leather watch.

The second look I created was what I like to call Lumberjack Chic. Long boots are an absolute Autumn/Winter essential for adding a bit of casual glam to any outfit.

I teamed this green and navy plaid flannel shirt dress (£29) with a pair of long boots and thin tights to go for lunch with the girls. This outfit was smart but not too over the top for a light lunch and again needed very little in terms of accessories.
