Christian Aid: The end of Lent

We’ve done it! We’ve made it to the end of Lent!

You may remember at the beginning of March I told you how I was giving up negativity for lent in Aid of Christian Aid.

So for 40 days and 40 nights negativity has been eradicated from my life and you know what, I’ve never felt better!

Lots of exciting things have happened with the shift in my mindset, I’ve had a great first month since launch with ELLEfluence, I’ve been back to the gym and really worked hard. I’ve lost weight, I’ve eaten much healthier and I’ve attracted so many better opportunities to my life.

I have stopped using the word ‘but’ and consciously refuse to write it in any sense as according to studies that word has negative connotations and switches people off immediately!

Admittedly at first it was a struggle and I did have a few days where I nearly let negativity break me, you know what they say though, habits are broken after 28 days, so now we’ve hit 40 days that old habit has been well and truly kicked.

So from the girl who never gave up anything and had never really celebrated and challenged herself to a period of Lent, this year it’s been a roaring success and I sincerely hope that my 6 weeks of negativity free thoughts continues for the rest of the year and by next Lent I’m willing to give up something new to make my life better.

Have you given up anything for Lent? I’d love to hear in the comments below! If you haven’t then why not make a donation to Christian Aid to help the poorest of people.

You still have time to donate and you can make a difference by donating here
