I make no secret of it that I am nutterly obsessed with nut chocolate spreads, even so I often dream about them (crazy I know) so can you imagine my excitement when I found out that Sainsbury’s were now stocking the ULTIMATE in luxury cocoa and nut spreads?
Although once you’ve been introduced you’ll wonder where this divine treat has been all of your life! I mean I think after my first taste I must have raved to my whole social network about just how dreamy it is! I had texts, messages and even tweets asking me where they could get their hands on some.
It truly is a taste of heaven. As Australia’s 2016 Product of the Year in the Spreads category launches and finds it’s feet firmly on UK soil I feel like it’s my duty to tell you as a chocolate and nut ‘expert’ (yes, according to Klout I am regarded as an expert in that field!) so let me begin.
The first of it’s kind to hit the shelves of UK Sainsbury’s stores (Mr Sainsbury if you’re reading this, my Nectar card number is 2934 5838 28…….incase you want to add me a few thousand Nectar points for name dropping). Macabella is a rich and delicious macadamia nut and cocoa infusion created with the finest quality ingredients.
A sumptuous Belgian recipe, that has been created to offer a premium flavour will have you eagerly anticipating the opening of the Gold topped jar for a crunchy texture or a Silver topped jar for that luscious velvety, smooth texture. Don’t you dare disregard the Crunch if you’re used to smooth nutty chocolate spreads as the added Macademia Crunch is absolutely divine! It might even be my favourite of the two!
With the highest percentage of nuts contained in each jar within supermarket spreads (19.5% in the Crunch, 15% in the Velvet) and the tastiest, highest quality, sustainably sourced ingredients you really can tell why over 14,000 Australians voted it the nation’s favourite!
Macabella has been hailed as the Casanova of spread and every time I look at the jar stood in the cupboard I fall in love again and again, so if you’re spreading it onto crepes, croissants, fruit or toast make Macabella your spread of choice…or if you’re like me then why not take a big spoon and spoon it straight from the jar to your mouth, because after all this is my favourite way ever to eat it!
To the creators of Macabella, you have truly changed me from the Queen of that spread that rhymes with Umbrella to eating the finest most decadent spread in all the land! I will never return to my old ways and I salute you on this creation and at only £3.00 RRP per jar, there’s room for this in everybody’s cupboard.
