You might have seen over the last couple of years that subscription boxes in all different niches are popping up. There’s a box for dogs, a clothing subscription service and of course my favourite, beauty. I’m a massive fan of them as it allows smaller unknown brands a chance to get their product discovered by people open to buying new products. It’s perfect marketing for these businesses and it’s amazing for the subscribers to find out about new products.
Little Known Box
When I discovered Little Known Box and had seen their previous boxes I knew they were aligned with the products I love. They sent me this month’s box and honestly it was truly amazing. The box arrived, a black box with golden branding adorned the top of the box with a gorgeous Little Known Box ribbon around it.
I pulled one end of the ribbon and it unwound from the box, as I opened the box the suspense was killing me as to what would be inside. There was another layer to unwrap, this time, black tissue paper secured with a gold branded sticker.
As I lifted up the tissue and pulled it back the inner magpie in me (it must be because I’m a Geordie) spotted glitter, not just any glitter it was pressed glitter for eyes, AMAZING. I’d been wanting some of this for a while.

There was also dry shampoo, a new staple in my beauty regime for the days I just need a quick fix for my hair instead of a full wash and blow-dry. New was a vegan eyeliner. Loves. I love beauty products and eyeliners are up there with my essentials. As I rummaged in the shredded black tissue inside the box there was a Peach Bellini lip balm and a pressed Rose perfume solid.
Inside the box was the Little Known Box’s monthly newsletter which was so friendly and made you feel like part of the Little Known Box family, along with tips and there was also on the overleaf of the newsletter discount codes to purchase the products and newly discovered brands from their websites.
The box was absolutely lovely and really brightened up my morning, which got me thinking it would be perfect for a gift for a family member or friend who’s difficult to buy for. The boxes cost £14.95 and shop monthly, which you can cancel anytime, however, if you select a 3,6 or 12-month plan you save more on the total cost of the box.
All in all, I think that Little Known Box is great value for money and is a nice delivery if you’re into beauty products and discovering new brands every month. Without a doubt, my favourite product from this month has to be the pressed glitter as I’ve not only used it to apply on my lids I’ve also used it under my eyes as part of my smudge for that sparkle look which makes your eyes look massive!
